Main duties:
Directing the food preparation process and delegating tasksCooking and preparing high quality dishesAssisting the Head Chef to create menu items, recipes and develop dishesSupervising all kitchen stationsSupervising, motivating and working closely with other Chefs of all levelsBeing responsible for health and safetyBeing responsible for food hygiene practices Ensuring food quality and excellent standards are maintained for all dishes createdAssisting with determining food inventory needs, stocking and orderingEnsuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines The ideal candidate: Possess 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or 5 years as a Chef de Partie in a 4* or 5* hotel or fine dining restaurantHave strong communication and organisational skills: these are a must as this is a busy, dynamic role.Be flexible to work varying shifts, including weekends, evenings and on occasion, early mornings.Good knowledge of all sections Ability to produce good quality foodTeam management skillsHigh level of attention to detailGood level of numeracyEnthusiasm to develop your own skills and knowledge plus those around youAdaptablity to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processesAbility to work unsupervised and deliver quality work Positive and approachable mannerTeam player qualitiesSpeak English fluently What our clients offer:
