Equipment Design Engineer  

  

My client, a leading Medical Device company, is searching for an Equipment Engineer.  

 

This role will suit someone with Medical/Biopharma/Pharma experience in designing and manufacturing of production equipment in the medical device industry.  

 

This is a 12-month contract position, based on site at their site in Galway City.  

  

  

Responsibilities  

  

  • Generation of equipment designs. Designs include new tooling, fixtures, automated machines and modification/upgrades to same. 
  • Investigation of new technologies, generation of concepts and participation in Proof-of-Concept projects to enable automation.  
  • Will design new equipment for manufacturing, from concept to deployment. 
  • Ensure documentation & drawing standards for equipment meet requirements. 
  • Maintaining compliance to all quality requirements  
  • Ensure equipment solution are delivered within planned schedules and within budget. 
  • work closely with both internal and external specialists to complete equipment related projects 

  

Requirements   

  

  • Bachelorâs degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design or equivalent  
  • 5 years' experience in Mechanical Design.  
  • Experience in using AutoCAD 2D SolidWorks 3D.   
  • Candidates must have a demonstrated track record in the design of equipment. Experience of AutoCAD/Solidworks, Pneumatics, Workshop Equipment, and Machine Building will be essential.
