POSITION SUMMARY

The overreaching purpose of the role of the Product Owner is to support a continually developing customer journey, providing a maximized customer and employee experience.

The Product owner will define the vision and roadmap of new and enhanced operational servicing capabilities within assigned squads, and work transversally within Operations and with all AXA Partners CLP countries.

The Product Owner - Customer Journey will be a key member of the Customer and Employee Journey pillar.
• Responsible for delivering great products or set of products that customers and employees love
• In charge of the vision, roadmap, prioritization of the product
• Responsible of the quality of the product and the monitoring of its usage / costs / benefit
• Work with key AXA stakeholders (Legal, Operations, Pricing, Actuarial, IT, Risk, Digital) to align proposals with AXA best practice

To be successful in this role you would need to be structured, hands-on and business driven. Having a strong passion leading change and finding new solutions will be key.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Define the vision and roadmap of the defined squads, aiming to support a continually developing customer journey, providing a maximized customer and employee experience
• Act as the interface between the business and the squads, translating the company strategy and customer needs into a vision, roadmap and requirements for the squad
• Ensure all necessary strategic planning has been completed
• Support and provide input in the yearly investment process (gates) and work with internal AXA stakeholders to develop the business case. Assess costs against revenue/cost saving opportunities related to defined squads in line with product budget
• Be the gatekeeper and validate the need for the change and assess impact on the Product.

o Act as the value maximiser and ensure only value-add initiatives are added to the backlog

o Consult with the CLP stakeholders to understand how a change can answer our partners', end customers' as well as internal employees constraints, needs and pain point

o Define KPI and monitor the Product performance
• Define the analysis required to identify solution and engage with relevant stakeholders to ensure resolution
• Champion projects that enables the vision to be achieved. Lead prioritised backlog initiatives to a successful delivery
• Responsible for the quality of launched assets within the squad and monitoring its usage/costs/benefits in collaboration with the Cost Effectiveness and Governance pillar
• Ensure the Product vision, status of a change as well as business values will be articulated in different channels and communicated on a periodic basis (report progress/success/risks/priorities)
• Act as the interface between the business and the squads;

o gather requirement

o prioritize the backlog items and accept or reject development increment

o review acceptance criteria and validate with key stakeholder

o coordinate IT development release
• Ensure tasks relating to essential product developments are captured within the backlog and that relevant acceptance test criteria, epic, and user stories are documented and included
• Co-build with relevant AXA teams to drive the delivery of IT development launches.
• Lead and participate in agile rituals according to the way of the working of the team (Scrum, Kanban)
• Stay up to date with global market trends and innovation capabilities to identify new opportunities that would drive value for Operations and the Product

Overall
• Buildand maintain strong working relationships with Senior management and teams within CLP
• Support a problem solving and a "can do" attitude promoting a culture which recognises and rewards a job well done

• Play an active part within the Customer & Employee journey pillar to drive the 5 C's of a Customer & Employee centric organization; communication, community, care, celebration & commitment

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor degree in Business, Process, IT or Operations (Master's degree an advantage)
• 5+ years' experience in financial services, preferably in an International context
• Strong leadership and change management skills - experience in leading multiple stakeholders through change and familiar with the agile framework (scrum, Kanban..)
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills and happy to act as the representative of the company in business meeting
• Proven record of interacting & negotiating with senior stakeholders, internal as well as external client
• Strong analytical and problem solving skill
• High understanding of business and market needs and the ability to transform insights to a vision, roadmap and concrete action
• A structured and efficient way of working will be key
• Happy to travel up to 20% of time; mainly European travel
• Lean and PMP skills are advantage
