Our client, an international facilities management group, is looking to hire a maintenance Technician to look after a site in D1. site based position. If you have had enough of spending more time on the road and travelling, this would be ideal for you.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and dynamic individual with an electrical trade background and will work as part of a maintenance team. Candidates must have hands on experience in dealing with planned preventative maintenance and fault finding.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Maintenance Technician (Electrical)

  • Planned preventative maintenance of Electrical systems
  • Complete all site lighting repairs and replacements
  • Reactive repairs ensuring minimum downtime on equipment
  • Meet service level agreements and respond to emergency breakdowns across site
  • Ensure all QHSE requirements are fulfilled prior to work commencing
  • Specify and order materials as needed for works and ensure stock levels of critical spares are kept updated
  • Problem solving ensuring a solution for all required repairs in a timely manner
  • Liaise with helpdesk, Management and customers with updates on a daily basis
  • Supervise subcontractors onsite to ensure a comprehensive contractor management system, including H&S
  • Positively and actively contribute to and participate in continuous improvement activities in the team
  • Working as part of a team on multi-disciplined projects
  • High standard of housekeeping, material handling and safety at all times
  • Certification and experience in IS3217 Emergency light testing desirable

Person Specification

  • Trade qualified Electrician with at least 3 yearsâ experience
  • Must be client focused with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have experience in completing and operating to method statements, risk assessments, Safe Plans of Actions and Permits associated with their work activities
  • Have completed H&S training
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to complete paperwork and reports
  • Enthusiastic approach to work
  • Neat appearance and manner
  • Ability to work professionally within client premises
  • IT literacy an advantage, Word, Excel, Microsoft Office desirable
  • An attractive permanent role with salary circa 50k, optional overtime and a great package of benefits.
