TISSUE VIABILITY NURSE – CLINICAL NURSE SPECIALIST

Permanent – Full time


Bon Secours Hospital Cork are inviting applications from those interested in applying for the post of Tissue Viability Nurse/CNS. The successful applicant will provide specialist advice and care to patients with a wide variety of complex and ongoing wounds. 


The CNS Tissue Viability Nurse will also work within the nursing team and assist colleagues as necessary in providing and maintaining the highest standards in patient care at all times and to work as part of the multidisciplinary team. You will also be expected to provide upskilling and ongoing education in the area of wound management and you will be involved in the developing and management of wound formulary.


Essential Criteria:

Registered in the General Division of the live register of nurses kept by the NMBIA minimum of 3 – 5 years experience as a staff nurse in an acute general hospital setting.Completed further studies in Wound Management and Tissue Viability or similar.Management experience or a management course desirable.


Person Specification:

Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.Must possess strong communication skills and clinical skills.Fluency in English, both written and spokenMust be computer literateFlexibility and excellent use of initiative
