Building on the School’s research excellence, the School is making a substantial investment to further strengthen its position as a global leader in quality research and education.  To that end, the School is currently recruiting a Professor in Environment and Marine to substantially grow research activity, outputs and impact in the School’s research distinctiveness area of Environment and Marine. 

To achieve the School’s research ambition, the Professor in Environment and Marine position is supported by an attractive starter research funding package worth over €360,000

Applications are welcome from candidates who can demonstrate alignment of their research and teaching interests in the area of environment and marine with any of the five disciplines in the School: Accountancy and Finance, Business Information Systems, Economics, Management, or Marketing.  Applications from candidates with an excellent research record in any of the following, and related, areas are welcome:

  • Marine economics
  • Climate change economics
  • Measurement of sustainability from a business and societal perspective
  • Behaviour, social and/or systems change
  • Sustainable consumption, sufficiency and efficiency,
  • Sustainable Marketing
  • Partnerships and Stakeholder engagement
  • Green and sustainable taxation
  • Net Zero finance
  • Accountability and governance of sustainable development

Salary:

€97,260 to €130,000 p.a. (applicable to new entrants effective from January, 2011)

(This appointment will be made on the Professor In salary scale in line with current Government pay policy)
