The Connected Motion and Robotics (CMR) System Applications group are advertising a system applications engineering role, with a focus on system development activity and customer technical engagement in the end markets of Industrial Motor and Power Control, and Semiconductor Manufacturing equipment. The role will play an important part in positioning ADI signal chains and solutions into this market, and in helping to solve key customer problems at a system and subsystem level. This role will support the system applications team in developing domain expertise in this end application space, and where appropriate, developing signal chain solutions, system level evaluation and demonstration platforms, along with associated collateral and training material in order to enable design-in and sales activity with key and broad market customers. The role will involve participation in tradeshows and training events, as well as providing technical expertise in customer engagements and new product definitions.
Key responsibilities include :
Identifying key signal chains in Industrial Motor & Power Control and Semiconductor Manufacturing end Equipment, and positioning ADI products and signal chains appropriately Solution development to help solve customer problems, prove out new concepts, and reduce customer Time To Market Growing domain expertise and understanding end application technology, trends, and customer pain points in these end applications Working with the IMR strategic marketing team to understand customer technical needs and market trends, and to develop an appropriate Go to Market strategy Contribution to Go to Market activity for through technical articles, training material, and tradeshow presentation Helping to drive next generation product roadmaps for strategic signal chain products
Skill Set :
- BS or MS degree in electrical/electronic engineering with minimum 5 years’ industry experience in a domain relevant to industrial automation.
- Experienced in hardware design and development, schematic and layout tools, general hardware debug, and standard test equipment.
- Experience in power electronics and/or power conversion is an advantage
- Ability to work with/modify/integrate firmware or software interfaces is an advantage
- Comfortable in communication skills enough to lead a technical discussion internally or with a customer
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to develop and articulate system requirements as part of a broader strategy
