Louth Ref: S011499 RecruitmentPlus on behalf of our client have an exciting opportunity to join their team as a New Product Introduction Engineer.This position will work on new business quotes, be involved in the introduction of parts to production, review and collate performance data. The role will suit recent graduates or those with a couple of years experience who enjoy communicating across clients and teams and works in a structured way with high attention to detail. Requirements: Hold aBachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent, relevant work experience can also be considered Be mechanically minded Great people and communication skills Can take responsibility for tasks and work to deadlines and be able to problem solve Be accurate and with a high level of attention to detail Key Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for full Request For Quote and NPI process, prioritise accordingly and ensuring records kept up to date Review customer and engineer drawings to determine materials, manufacturing and processing requirements Liaise with external design engineers Produce detailed cost analysis Organise review of NPI parts with quality, engineering, purchasing, planning and production teams Co-ordinate to identify potential inefficiencies or obsolete processes or technologies Bring Continuous Improvement ideas Schedule NPI parts into production Ensure industry compliance, develop and implement supporting documentation Host NPI meetings Create the Job Packages and inspection sheets for the new products Collate data and create reports on the performance of the RFQ and NPI processes and for Engineering Review Meetings.
