AA Euro Group have been retained to hire an experienced Design Manager for a manufacturer in Limerick, 


Role: 

Managing the Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) and Design for Construction (DfC) workflow of internal and external designers from tender / concept stage through detailed design / production drawings and project handover / as built drawings.Planning and allocating design resources to achieve the design deliverables in line with the project programme requirementsEnsuring all project design and technical details are developed in accordance with the Building Regulations, Client Specification, and the ISO accredited Integrated Management System (H&S Environmental and Quality)Support, guide and coach members of the design team to continuously improve the designs for the off-site and on-site work scope, through value engineering, process improvement and lessons learned


Requirements: 

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a design or design management role,Detailed knowledge of the Irish Building Regulations and associated sector specific specifications (education / commercial / healthcare)Educational background in Architectural Technology / EngineeringExperience in leveraging BIM processes using 2D and 3D design software (AutoCAD & Revit)The ability to lead a design team and build relationships to work effectively with key project stakeholders (Clients / Client Representatives / 3rd Part Designers / Supply Chain Partners)Experience of working in a fast paced project environment where effective communication and teamwork are essential to deliver for the company’s Clients
