Finance Business Partner Analyst

As Finance Business Partner Analyst, you will work with leadership and key stakeholders across the business. The finance business partnering team support, advise and critically challenges strategic and operational decision making across the business bringing analytical, commercial, and strategic insights to drive performance and value creation. The role requires technical expertise, coupled with an articulate, commercially aware professional. You will provide support to the financial business partnering team in developing insights to enable decision making. You will specifically focus on technology and data supporting the internal Primark Technology function to shape the future technology strategy.

What You’ll Do:

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:
  • You will provide financial support for key commercial and strategic initiatives in the business.
  • You will extract relevant data to prepare concise informative financial analysis to inform key decisions.
  • You will bring new ideas to the business partnering team and to the business, solving issues and shaping strategy.
  • You will identify opportunities for efficiencies and improved ways of working to maximise joy and minimise cost.
  • You will focus on head-up, forward looking activities to help maximise opportunity to create value.
  • You will partner with technology stakeholders to formulate and manage delivery of plans.
  • You will support the Technology Finance Business Partner to influence key stakeholders and customers to achieve desired financial outcomes.
  • You will work collaboratively to construct compelling pieces of analysis, outlining issues, opportunities and solutions overseeing development & ensuring output is insightful & actionable.
  • You will collaborate closely with various internal stakeholders within the Finance, Technology, Strategy and Procurement teams to deliver results.
  • You will monitor and measure the impact and effectiveness strategic projects to ensure consistent delivery and commercial impact.
  • You will support the Technology Business Partner in presenting analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring

  • You will have 3 years’ PQE, and professional qualification (ACA / ACCA) required.
  • You will bring previous experience working in the Big 4 and/or industry ideally required – specifically in the areas of transaction services and financial due diligence.
  • You have prior In-house Business Partnering experience is preferable.
  • You have experience working in a fast-paced finance team, preferable in consulting/retail/FMCG – financial consulting experience is advantageous,
  • Previous Retail or Technology experience is desirable but not essential.
