Overview
NECTO Selection are seeking a talented Section Engineer interested in working on a flagship road project in Co. Cork. Our client is an award-winning, multifaceted Construction and Engineering firm renowned for delivering multi-million euro projects across multiple sectors. Due to recent tender success, they're now seeking a skilled Section Engineer to come and join their talented team.
The role
- Reading, interpreting and providing clear communication of construction drawings on site for layouts, material measurements etc.
- Setting out, providing precise lines, levels and reference points on site
- Ensuring programme deadlines are met
- Working closely with your team to ensure that the Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety aspects of the work are adhered to
- Consistently developing your knowledge of the industry, whilst communicating and implementing best practice guidance to line managers and relevant staff
- Maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements, policies and procedures
- Undertake any other necessary duties
About You
- Must be able to use your own initiative, be accountable, and take responsibility for a project from start to finish
- Must be deadline-driven, instilling motivation in the team to hit key targets
Experience required
- A degree in Civil Engineering or another relevant qualification with 2 - 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience working on a similar Civils project is essential
- Numeracy and IT skills including MS Office, Word and Excel
- A full driving license with access to transport
