Finance Associate – GNFR/AR (6 month FTC)

We are looking for a Finance Associate to join our Financial Operations team. This team is responsible for supplier invoice processing, payments, and other financial transactional processes. This role will be part of a team with responsibility for one or more of these processes and associated supplier and business engagement. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and will thrive on change within a continuous improvement culture.
This role is based in Primark Head Office in Dublin with hybrid working.

What You’ll Do:

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day role managing treasury operations:
  • Processing of invoices using the SoftCo PIAT P2P solution and Oracle Financial System.
  • Processing journals, in particular manual journals requiring allocations to be split across multiple cost centres or entities.
  • Work closely with key Suppliers in a dedicated country (or countries) of your responsibility to ensure critical invoices are received on time and correct.
  • Collaborate with our highly experienced teams to ensure all transactions are processed in accordance with our policies and procedures and all our inventory & reconciliation processes are completed in line with business requirements.
  • Work with our 3rd party providers and ICT Support Teams to ensure daily operational interfaces are working as scheduled.

  • Diploma/degree standard of education preferably in a business/administration related discipline and/or an interest in pursuing same.
  • Experience in a similar role in a shared service environment is highly desirable.
  • IT skills to include MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint are essential.
  • You will have excellent organisation, prioritization and time management skills.
  • Highest level of attention to detail is required.
