My client is looking for a part qualified accountant to join their team. You will work directly with the Managing Director and Group Finance, working as part of a growing and well-established team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting, intercompany and month end close activities for a specific business unit.

Responsibilities:

 

·      Applying completeness and accuracy audit assertions, ensure supplier liabilities are paid within due date in line with AP payment run plan. Ensure any past due invoices are brought to completion

·      Applying cut off audit assertion, ensuring liabilities are recognised as they fall due

·      Timeous feedback to the team on any payments held & revised due dates to fall in line with group cash flow plan

·      Applying completeness and accuracy audit assertions, review âShipping Boardâ with the Supply Chain Manager ensuring inventory asset and supply chain liabilities are accurately recorded in line with purchasing process milestones

·      Manage all supplier returns and credit note requests to ensure accurately recorded

·      Review transactional investment in working capital management apply accuracy audit assertion, taking cash flow and Group strategy into consideration

·      Applying completeness and accuracy audit assertions, review daily, weekly and monthly bank reconciliations, detailed bank movement to bank statement

·      Applying accuracy audit assertion, ensure bank reconciliations are revalued to group company book currency

·      Applying completeness, cut off and occurrence audit assertions, review stock adjustment requests, prepare the necessary supporting documentation, calculate the weighted average cost, actual cost or standard cost of the stock item as appropriate and post the transaction to the system

·      Monitor stock ageing reports to ensure investment in working capital is efficient and provision in place for any inventory disposal

 

 

Requirements:

 

·      Chartered Accountant or equivalent accounting qualification generally recognised in Ireland

·      Tertiary qualification relevant to position

·      Logistics accounting experience preferable

·      Payroll preparation and review experience preferable

·      Knowledge of fundamental accounting functions

·      Computer literate and an intermediate user of MS Office suite: Excel, Share Point, Word and Outlook
