Description of Post

The Department of Life Sciences at Atlantic Technological University is seeking a postdoctoral researcher with skills in organic analytical chemistry and a track record and interest in the field green chemistry/ sustainability chemistry. The candidate will work within the context of the LeafLock project, which aims to develop novel biodegradable and bioabsorbable polymeric 'stickers' to enhance the directed delivery of fungicides and biostimulants, safeguarding crops and improving soil health

Essential Qualifications

Applicants for this position must have as a minimum:

  • PhD Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with chemical separations, particularly gas and liquid chromatography.
  • Knowledge of and interest in advanced qualitative techniques, particularly mass spectrometry.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to start position in Ireland immediately.
