Financial Accountant – Property & CapitalOur Financial Reporting teams are right at the heart of what we do. We are looking for a Financial Accountant with Property and Capital experience to join our Finance team in Dublin. You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely accounting and reporting of property and capital transactions and balances across all Primark entities, as well as supporting the property and capital teams with analysis and advice.

What You’ll Do:In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skill sets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:
  • Prepare and review the monthly property and capital journals, reconciliations, and reports, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and standards.
  • Assess and report on property and capital variances, trends, and KPIs.
  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process for property and capital costs.
  • Assist with the external audit process, providing relevant information and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the property and capital teams to ensure alignment of processes, systems, and data.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies to enhance the quality and timeliness of property and capital accounting and reporting.
What You’ll BringHere at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular:
  • A professional qualification in accounting (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting or auditing, preferably in a multinational environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP, as well as relevant regulations and frameworks.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with great analytical and problem-solving skills.
