Staff Nurse â Day Care Unit


Private Hospital in Limerick is currently recruiting for a Registered General Nurse into the Day Care Unit. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care.

The Day Care Unit predominantly caters for patientâs pre and post Endoscopy procedures. The position would suit a self-motivated person with an ability to work effectively as part of a team. 

Post: Full-time permanent position

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate is required to be flexible in both working days and times.

Roster: This is a rotational roster whereby the combined weekly hours will be worked over a 2-week period.

Job Requirements:

  • Registration in the General Division of the live register of nurses kept by the NMBI.
  • Competent in Venipuncture and Cannulation is desirable.
  • 12 months recent acute hospital experience is desirable
  • Strong clinical and communication skills are required.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Telephone pre assessment of Endoscopy patients
  • Ensure a high standard of care is maintained at all times.
  • Pre and post procedure care of Endoscopy patients.
  • To communicate effectively with patients and families.
  • To ensure all documentation relating to patients is accurately maintained in accordance with the medical records policy.
