About the job

As a Manager on the Data Disclosure Strategy team, you will work on legal issues to provide creative and proactive legal guidance on technological innovations. You will be a part of a group of in-house lawyers and work on projects and cases that will challenge you to think differently. You'll also work collaboratively, partner on initiatives that influence all aspects of the business, and work with teams from all over the company.

In this role, you will assess legal risks and advise on issues. You will oversee a team responsible for Google's response to requests for the disclosure of user data and managed by Google Ireland, as part of Google's Data Disclosure Strategy team in the legal department.

This program provides legal subject matter expertise to ensure that user data is disclosed in a manner consistent with Google's principles/policies and governing legal requirements.

Responsibilities

Manage a team of talented attorneys and provide strategic advice to executive business leaders. Oversee the management of legal processes and requests for user data from government agencies, and work with teams across Google. Establish andenforce policies relating to disclosure requests to help advance our principles. Communicate with government agencies concerning requirements in particular cases. Work on relevant Googleprivacy initiatives. Support the Public Policy, Legal, and Communications team in managing data disclosure issues.
