3PL Carrier Manager

Location: Dublin
Salary: €80,000.00

Summary:
The successful candidate will play a lead role in establishing and developing this contract for our well known industrial retail client with their selected 3PL and then managing the ongoing relationship and logistics operations for their Irish distribution. You will therefore need to be an exceptional communicator with proven experience of 3PL carrier management for warehousing, inbound and outbound logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the relationship and performance of the logistics service provider.
Oversee all logistics processes.
Work closely with the Forecasting and Sales Managers to translate sales forecasts into logistics forecasts.
Lead initiatives for continuous improvement for service levels and costs.
Ensure adherence to Customs, Export control and company sustainability policies.
Prepare and manage budgets and reports ensuring margin optimisation and ROI.
Experience:

Previous experience of 3PL Carrier management
Comprehensive knowledge of shipping, warehousing and transport operations including best practices for dangerous good in transit
Project management experience for the initial set up of this new contract
Good commercial awareness for costing, budgeting, commercial and contract negotiations
Strong analytical skills able to analyse data, identify problems and develop solutions.
