About the role
An exciting opportunity has opened up in our Risk department. In the role, the successful candidate will:
- Develop and execute the AML Assurance Plan for J&E Davy and produce written assurance reports to a high standard;
- Provide oversight of AML risk for Davy Trust or Company Service Providers (TCSPs);
- Attend TCSP Board meetings and prepare AML reports for approval;
- Devise and implement AML training plan;
- Provide specialist advice on complex AML matters to business functions – including senior business leaders to ensure AML requirements are fully met;
- Assist with the production of reports to Davy risk committees;
- Support the business in the correct application of AML procedures, through query management;
- Positively influence and challenge colleagues within businesses areas to ensure an adequate and effective AML Control Framework is implemented and maintained;
- Collaborate and liaise with regulatory authorities and other external parties as well as with internal stakeholders as relevant;
- Monitor changes in applicable laws and regulations and provide guidance to Group companies in relation to implementation;
- Comply with the Risk and Compliance frameworks, policies and procedures associated with the role.
About you
We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills:
- Relevant 3rd level Degree and/or Compliance qualification preferable;
- 3+ years working in an AML role in Compliance, ideally in a MiFID firm or Credit Institution;
- An in-depth knowledge of AML laws and regulations;
- Experience in conducting AML assurance activities and reporting findings;
- A strong ability to recognise and assess AML risk;
- Ability to self-motivate and work to tight deadlines are essential;
- Strength of character and a willingness to individually challenge collective thinking;
- Strong communication skills including an ability to concisely articulate alternative views under pressure.
