Within this role you responsible for the Procurement of all categories of laboratory Chemicals and Components Quality Control at the Limerick Manufacturing. Additionally, this position will be required to provide Procurement support and participate in procurement related activities of other categories of spend in support of QC department

As QC Lab Coordinator a typical day might include, but is not limited to, the following:

• Ensuring operational procurement support is provided appropriately to ensure the business needs are satisfied
• Developing and enhancing Quality Controls relationship with internal customers to proactively identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement
• Developing and enhancing Quality controls relationships with suppliers to aid improvement in the areas of cost and service
• Delivering value within the QC department across laboratory function categories as applicable
• Placing and managing purchase orders to support QC
• Evaluating orders for completeness, accuracy, lead time, risk management, compliance with budget, compliance with QC specifications and to ensure that the cost codes used are in accordance with established policies
• Collaborating with procurement that strengthens relationships with key suppliers and service providers
• Managing daily communications with vendors
• Helping prepare and maintain relevant company contract documentation
• Performing audits or cycle counts to confirm accuracy of inventory levels
• Initiating communication with suppliers and follow up on Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCAR)
• Following up on receipt of Certificates of Analysis, a critical requirement for the release and use of goods in Quality Control
• Supporting procurement to assist in the Annual Negotiation of Material Pricing and Standard Setting
• Developing working relationships with suppliers and internal clients
• Implementing and maintaining cost saving initiatives
• Introducing new and innovative ideas for goods and services
• Developing and implementing solutions to QC procurement issues as they arise
• Advising QC management of issues
• Analysing current and potential suppliers in assigned commodities
• Identifying ways of improving the QC Procurement processes, tools, policies and procedures to drive efficiency and proactive engagement in opportunities
• Providing support to critical Materials and Reference Standard Group
