An expanding Manufacturing company based in South Galway has an immediate requirement to recruit a Mechanical Engineer to join their team.

The successful engineer will be involved with the whole engineering process from design through to production, so excellent project management skills is as important as your knowledge of Creo and AutoCAD.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop and design simple components and equipment for new and existing products and processes.
• Optimize existing production processes
• Develop innovative solutions to complex engineering and manufacturing production problems through identification and implementation of manufacturing process.
• Revise and update existing specifications and drawings to incorporate requested design changes from engineering, manufacturing, or quality assurance.
• To liaise with the end customer to ensure that specifications are met.
• Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods, testing finished product and process capabilities, and establishing standards to confirm and validate manufacturing process requirements
• Learning all aspects within the business to help you become more involved and gather experience to become more of an engineer.

Key Skills:

• Degree educated in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Design
• Minimum one year of experience in a similar role
• Experience in 2D and 3D design software
• Excellent analytical and practical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work on your own initiative and as a team.
• Ability to work under pressure.
