The Construction division of Northland Properties Corporation is seeking a Steel Stud Framer to support the New Gondola and Guest Services construction at Grouse Mtn.

Our Steel Stud Framer must have a strong background in all aspects of steel stud framing and drywall installation, ensuring that all work is completed in compliance with relevant safety regulations and company policies. They will follow project specifications and timelines, working efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines. Effective communication with supervisors and team members is essential to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency. Your duties will include the following:

  • Measure, cut, and assemble metal studs for the framing of walls and ceilings.
  • Install drywall sheets accurately and securely to framed structures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine material requirements and layout.
  • Use hand and power tools to install and secure steel studs and drywall.
  • Ensure that all work complies with relevant building codes and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with other construction professionals to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure that the framing and drywall installation meet project standards.
  • Support the growth and development of company culture and professionally represent Northland Properties.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • +3 years of working experience in similar positions.
  • Experience with basic power/hand tools.
  • Knowledge of Federal/Provincial building codes.
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with occasional weekends.
  • Having a vehicle is an asset but not essential.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand and/or be on their feet 10-12 hours/day working in outdoor weather and/or unregulated temperatures.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and use proper lifting techniques for heavy items weighing more than 25 kilograms.
  • Must be able to climb scaffoldings.
