Located in Dublin, Cruiserath Biologics Campus, a one billion Multi-Product Cell Culture Biologics Manufacturing facility plays a central role in the Global Product Development and Supply (GPS) network as the company's first European biologics manufacturing facility. This state of the art facility will produce multiple therapies for the company's growing biologics portfolio. Global Biologics Laboratory (GBL) responsible for the release testing of Biologics Drug product for the network, is also based on the Cruiserath Biologics Campus.

The Role

BMS Cruiserath Biologics is seeking to recruit on a permanent Manager, QC Materials (Raw Materials), reporting to the QC Materials Senior Manager, the QC Materials Technical Lead will provide technical expertise and oversight to the QC Raw Materials Testing group.

Based on your function, department or individual position, you will have the opportunity to discuss with your Manager the option to work remotely up to 50% of the time, over a two-week period, with the flexibility to choose the days that align with your collaboration needs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the Raw Materials Testing Programs, support testing activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate directives for the QC Raw Materials laboratory that support the Multi Product Cell Culture (MPCC) DS & Sterile Drug Product (SDP) facilities and play a key role in the technical transfer and validations of new materials and methods at Cruiserath.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the QC Materials Management team on the establishment of the laboratory procedures and practices, quality system elements, equipment qualifications, and cross-functional Raw Material Testing support for the MPCC/Warehouse facility.
  • Participate in regulatory audits as the Raw Material Testing SME
  • Participate in laboratory investigations to ensure timely close-out
  • Directly involved in managing the technical transfer and validation of new materials
  • Establish communication channels between all stakeholders to ensure visibility on end-to-end process.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support Raw Material and Batch release.
  • Participate in definition and establishment of the laboratory Quality Systems and Operational processes
  • Participate in troubleshooting complex laboratory testing issues
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • The ideal candidate should hold a minimum of a BSc. in Chemistry or related discipline and must have at least 5 years hands on experience in a Biopharmaceutical setting.
  • Technical expertise: HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV, TOC, RAMAN and general Raw Material laboratory techniques.
  • Experience with laboratory data systems, Empower, Tiamo, LIMS and CIMS would be an advantage.
  • The successful candidate must demonstrate a problem solving ability, as well as the ability to prioritise objectives from multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and the ability to contribute to and lead in a team based collaborative environment is essential.
  • Experience in technical transfer and validation of chemical methods as well as cleaning method validation.
  • Proven track record of delivery
