Riot's Strategic Sourcing team works with internal stakeholders to find and constructively engage suppliers. We operate across regions and disciplines to negotiate large, critical, and complex deals. From the initial make-versus-buy decision through negotiating and executing the contract, we help deal owners find suppliers who can best ensure our projects succeed.

As a Sourcing Lead ( Internal Job Title: Sourcing Professional) you will be responsible for handling the company's end to end sourcing process with an initial focus on our Esports and Publishing areas. Your craft expertise will assist deal owners in evaluating the marketplace, selecting preferred suppliers, advising and arranging favorable contract terms, and providing financial analysis. You will play a key role between business teams, stakeholders and the relevant departments such as Legal and Procurement for Sourcing events.

You will be passionate about what all the teams in Riot are working on and help them achieve value for our players through a strong sourcing strategy

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage company's overall sourcing strategy and systems
  • Develop and create agreement around sourcing strategies through analysis of data and deep engagement with partners
  • Build relationships with vendors and key suppliers
  • Negotiate pricing and control costs
  • Work with internal stakeholders to set sourcing goals and educate them on the goals of sourcing strategy
  • Execute the RFP process; in addition to the bid processes to support our needs while ensuring understanding of project goals and partner success criteria including requirements gathering, bid communications, and bid analysis
  • Work with FP&A team on yearly budget depending on sourcing needs
  • Prepare analyses and make suggestions for improvement of overall sourcing strategy
  • Set sourcing standards and controls
  • Work closely with Legal, Procurement/AP teams to ensure compliance across all departments
  • Keep updated of industry and market trends and best practices
  • Adhere to all relevant guidelines and regulations

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Previous working experience as a Sourcing Lead/Manager for 4-5 years
  • Outstanding negotiation abilities
  • Previous experience Professional Services, Events, and Construction would be advantageous
  • Understanding of the European market complexities and challenges, with particular focus on German contractual risks.
  • Experience with project management, negotiation, contract management, performing spend analysis, and creating sourcing strategies
  • Experience analyzing supplier proposals and model costs for return on investment, total cost of ownership, risk, and overall value - with the ability to share that data in a way that resonates with our partners
  • Flexibility and agility to cope with challenging priorities.
  • Great communication, interpersonal and networking skills
  • Any additional training or certification will be considered an advantage
