The opportunity

Our Business Transformation Design team works with clients across a variety of industries to reimagine and redesign the inner workings of their operations, enabling them to deliver on their corporate strategy, achieve cost and performance efficiencies and identify and capture growth opportunities for the future.

We are currently looking to hire into our team at Senior Consultant to Manager level.

Your key responsibilities

  • Utilise your skills in the areas of structured problem solving, business analysis, analytics, design thinking and lean process improvement to help our clients drive profitability and performance through their business operations.
  • Identify areas for process improvement across existing ways of working, be it system, process or people changes.
  • Engage directly with senior client stakeholders to drive business outcomes, including the facilitation of client interviews, workshops and project governance sessions.
  • Effectively analyse and define business requirements through stakeholder engagement and reviewing existing processes.
  • Be involved in the delivery of projects across the end-to-end project lifecycle, from business case development to project execution and close-out.
  • Draw on EY's unique capabilities in Digital, Programme Management, Business Process Analyst, and experience from our global consulting network.
  • Help ensure that the requirements and the process are fit for purpose, supporting the design, build, and test of the changes and business readiness/training activities.
  • Work with a global team of experts to develop unique, innovative and game-changing solutions as well as benefitting from best-in-class operations focused training.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and ability to drive results with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work with business stakeholders to define their vision and requirements, acting as a bridge between the business and technical teams to develop and deliver solutions.
  • Actively seeks to develop awareness of project and business objectives and how they relate to broader organizational goals. Prioritizes tasks based on impact to these goals.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong understanding of core business operations gained through involvement/delivery of projects across areas such as strategy, operating model design, lean process improvement, waterfall and agile design transformation and delivery.
  • Exceptional problem-solving ability including logical reasoning, creative thinking and the ability to untangle complex issues.
  • Exceptional quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A solid team player who's also an independent thinker.
  • Deadline-driven, highly organised and able to multitask.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage more junior consultants.

To qualify for the role, you ideally will have

  • 3+ years within a consulting firm or project type environment (a strong record of accomplishment in Management Consulting is a benefit).
  • Strong academic record including a relevant third level degree from a top university.
  • Strong numeric analysis, presentation and process mapping and requirement gathering skills.
  • Project and programme delivery experience. Experience in the delivery of large-scale programmes is an advantage.
  • Experience in applying Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Lean Six Sigma qualification is an advantage.
  • PMP/Prince2 qualification is an advantage.
  • Experience in applying best practice Business and Process Analysis techniques.
