A strong understanding of Irish and European regulation and market structure is essential, along with a working knowledge of European equity and derivative trading venue market rules. The role also demands effective communication skills at all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

  • Actively liaise and communicate with the CBI
  • Maintain compliance policies and procedures, develop new policies where applicable
  • Routinely oversee the compliance program to ensure the firm is meeting its responsibilities
  • Conduct compliance risk assessments and monitoring, report on findings and provide recommendations and implement changes where appropriate
  • Act as a point of contact for the entity's regulator
  • Respond to and/or review regulatory inquiries to ensure they are well written and consistent
  • Complete regulatory filings and understand MiFID regulatory reporting requirements
  • Review and/or supervise alerts generated by the surveillance system and advise on any changes to reports as required
  • Develop and deliver compliance training
  • Monitor regulatory developments and communicate applicable details to relevant teams within the group
  • Provide compliance advice on trading and business initiatives
  • Complete other ad hoc tasks or projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level
  • 10+ years of trading compliance experience
  • Experience dealing with the Central Bank of Ireland is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with particular attention to detail, are required
  • Ability to work independently with sound judgement
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects
  • Must be comfortable working in a technical environment
