Housekeeping/Kitchen multitask worker

Greenhill Nursing Home Carrick on Suir are hiring for a part time housekeeping/kitchen assistant

Role and Responsibilities:

Perform deep cleaning within the Nursing home setting including resident's rooms, hallways, corridors, sluice room, dining room, kitchen, bathrooms, living areas and any other areas required according to HIQA guidelines for infection control

Undertake other cleaning work as necessary in times of need and in support of nurses, carers, kitchen and laundry etc.

Support the laundry function of the home by the washing and drying of resident's personal clothes and nursing home furnishings

Support the kitchen staff and chefs by carrying out deep cleaning in areas of the kitchen, dining room, storage rooms etc. as required

Undertaking kitchen assistant shifts in times of need, managing the dining room, washing dishes and floors using correct cleaning products and equipment according to HACCP guidelines, completing appropriate records as needed

Taking direction from the chef for any other kitchen tasks required

Providing residents with tea/coffee facilities at mealtimes and to their rooms when required

Advising management of any maintenance, hygiene or supply shortages around the home

Respect residents' dignity and privacy, understanding the confidential nature of the work carried out In Greenhill Nursing Home

Undertake any other tasks assigned by the DON or management as required to meet the needs of the home

Qualifications:

Previous kitchen/housekeeping experience desirable in a care setting but training will be provided

Be a positive and friendly person as you will be working closely with our residents

Shift patterns will vary and flexibility will be required in this role across the 7 days of the week

Candidate can reasonably expect 2 days per week at least but hours can vary to meet the needs of the home
