About Your New Job: As an Electrical Data Centre Technician, you will work within a dedicated team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of mission-critical systems in a 24/7 environment. Your role will be vital in maintaining operational excellence across various systems within the data centre, ensuring that all tasks are carried out effectively and efficiently.

  • Emergency Response & Maintenance: Act as the first responder to alarms and critical issues, ensuring emergency repairs are executed swiftly and effectively. Monitor and respond to system alarms promptly.
  • Equipment Operations & Planned Maintenance: Assist with switching and operational procedures for electrical and mechanical systems. Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PM) and emergency repairs as required.
  • Team Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with the day tech team to align critical equipment operations. Provide detailed shift reports and conduct thorough handovers.

What Skills You Need:

  • Qualified Electrician: Must be fully qualified as an electrician by trade with relevant experience.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems within data centres, including UPS, Generators, and BMS systems.
  • Shift Work & Flexibility: Availability to work a rotating shift pattern (4 nights, 3 days/nights, 4 days) and respond to emergency cover as required.
