Job Responsibilities- Monitor the production lines of plastic injection molding presses
- Ensure production line is running at the proper, optimal cycle time
- Continuous monitoring of the raw material to ensure production line continuously runs at optimal cycles
- Remove/unload finished plastic parts from the injection molding press/conveyor belt
- Follow work instructions and all procedures
- Physically and/or visually inspect and evaluate parts for conformance and quality based on established criteria and specifications as noted on work instructions
- Measure and/or gauge components to ensure each is within specification
- Trim and de-flash excess material from part using razor, knife, or specialty cutters
- Execute any pre or post molding secondary operations including trimming, placing labels on parts, etc.
- Assemble production parts as needed
- Package parts and ensure all boxes, skids are labeled per customers’ requirements (correct box, label, etc.)
- Prohibited from removing packaged finished goods (Bill Of Material items) from the press work area
- Observe continuous operation of presses to detect jams or malfunctions
- Perform basic math calculations to account for tracking production and scrap
- Notify Plant Manager – Plastics Division or Production Leader of any issues with the parts, mold, press, or auxiliary equipment
- Be sure the team member on the next shift has a good understanding of all aspects of the part production line before leaving the press work area
- Disinfect, sweep work area, and place tools back in the press tool kit at the end of each shift
- Operate Bridgeport milling machine safely, following the operation guidelines
- Complete any other task that may be assigned
- Can read and interpret part production work instructions
- Work on more than one press at a time
- Knows basic math
- Can use weight scales
- Basic skills for operating the required equipment
- Works with limited supervision
- Maintains a safe, clean, organized work environment

- Maintains cooperative working relationships with all employees
- Has the ability to be time conscious and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner

- Follows all policies and procedures of the company’s quality management system
- Must be detail oriented
- Ability to manage and handle consistent change to day-to-day operations and processes
- Follows all cleanup and housekeeping procedures
- Assists in applying lean manufacturing concepts and 5S
- Maintains organization and cleanliness, housekeeping and 5S within work area
- Interested in personal development of the job
- Meeting the quality standards of the company while rework is held to a minimum
- Maintain and ensure accurate counts on completed parts and scrapped parts
- Effectively communicate continuity among work shifts by documenting actions, irregularities and continuing needs
- Complete any and all paperwork as required
- Maintain accurate records
- Reports issues in a timely manner to the Plant Manager-Plastics Division / Plastics Production Leader
- Language ability includes reading and writing
- Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent
- Standing
- Use hands to handle or feel
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally required to walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear
- Able to lift 50 pounds
