Senior Pharmacy Recruitment Consultant at Excel Healthcare

Location: Hospital in Navan, Meath

We are currently seeking a Staff Grade Pharmacist to assist in the operation of dispensary services at a hospital in Navan, Meath. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to a dedicated team delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will work alongside a Senior Pharmacist and Pharmaceutical Technicians to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of dispensary pharmacy services to wards and departments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervise and supply drugs, pharmaceuticals, and other related items as required.
2. Perform duties in the dispensary to ensure the purchase, storage, and supply of all items is carried out efficiently, adhering to quality, legal, and security requirements.
3. Maintain records for purchasing, quality control, compounding, and dispensing to required standards.
4. Provide advice to medical and nursing staff on the safe, effective, and cost-effective use of medications.
5. Ensure patient and professional staff needs are met through high-quality pharmaceutical service provision.
6. Collaborate with community pharmacists to ensure continuity of medication supply when necessary.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or a related field.
2. Current registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines related to pharmaceutical preparation and dispensing.
