The SQE is responsible for coordinating suppliers and verifying quality standards in accordance with the requirements of Humanscale. Oversees and / or performs Supplier Audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, as well as actively participating in strategic development based on quality control plans. Suggest structural quality and process improvements and collaborate with design and product engineers.
The SQE will identify technical problems with suppliers and implement corrective actions. Increase quality reliability, use acquired engineering skills to execute tools for calibration systems and regulate product transition requirements including maintaining accurate quality records, certifications. Conduct capability assessments that verify supplier qualifications, travel to assigned suppliers, and lead multiple projects to completion.
Responsibilities
Leads investigation teams through root cause analysis of customer complaints and quality system failures.
- Drives implementation and follow-up of corrective actions for investigation findings.
- Initiates regular discussion with Customer Service and relevant departments for closure to customer complaints and corrective action requests.
- Issues monthly reports to organisation that includes defect trends, in-house testing etc.
- Attendance in the plant site is considered an essential function.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering /Manufacturing
- Experience in supplier quality enforcement and support, including PPAP, 8D
- Experience with CAD Tools (Solidworks knowledge is a plus)
- Robust understanding of 2D Drawings and GD&T
- Lean/Six Sigma, Green or Black Belt is a plus
- Experience auditing quality systems
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (verbal and written)
