Cpl Healthcare in partnership with our client is currently recruiting a Director of Nursing or an Assistant Director of Nursing looking to progress and secure a DON position. Our client is a 60+ bedded aged care facility based in Roscommon providing an array of services including convalescences long and short-term care, respite and palliative care.
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aged care, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department
- Develop and implement nursing care plans.
- Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and other relevant regulations.
- Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate nursing staff.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
- Manage the nursing department's budget and resources.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Address any issues or complaints regarding nursing care.
- Stay current with the latest nursing practices and healthcare trends.
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid NMBI registration.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
- Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for long-term care facilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
No employment sponsorship on offer with this position, candidates need to be working and living in Ireland and requires experience of HIQA & guidelines.
