About The Role
This role will suit candidates who are looking for the next step in their career within an established design team. The successful candidate will collaborate with other senior technicians to create detailed design drawings using AutoCAD & Civil 3D. You will participate in the revision and updating of drawings based on feedback from engineers, subcontractors, or clients. You will assist in the preparation of conceptual sketches, initial design layouts to detailed road designs.
About You
As an AutoCAD Technician, you will be an integral part of our established design team. You will assist senior members of the team in translating conceptual ideas, specifications, and inputs into comprehensive, clear, and accurate drawings using appropriate software. Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating on the revision and updating of drawings throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, and delivering high-quality design drawings in a timely manner.
Skills & Experience
- Certificate or Diploma in Engineering/Construction CAD or relevant field.
- Drafting experience using AutoCAD for civil or roads projects.
- A minimum 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- A strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting work.
- Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge & experience of civil 3D an advantage but not necessary.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic design team.
- Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards is a plus.
