Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting one of Ireland’s leading independent town planning consultancies in their hire of an ambitious and enthusiastic Graduate Town Planner to their Dublin team
My client’s dynamic team of planning professionals specialises in delivering strategic, commercially driven planning advice across a wide range of development sectors, including energy, infrastructure, residential, retail, commercial, healthcare, tourism, and leisure.
About the Role
As a Graduate Planning Consultant, you will work alongside experienced planners on a wide range of projects. You will assist with the preparation of planning applications, planning appraisals, and research, while gaining valuable experience in the planning process. This is a supportive and dynamic role, where you’ll be able to develop your skills and work towards achieving full professional accreditation
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals.
- Conduct planning research, assessments, and appraisals for development proposals.
- Support the preparation of planning reports and development plan submissions.
- Work closely with senior planners to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients.
- Contribute to project management tasks and ensure deadlines are met.
About You:
We are seeking a recent graduate who is passionate about pursuing a career in town planning. To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning (IPI or RTPI accredited).
- A keen interest in planning, urban development, and sustainable growth.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- A proactive attitude with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- A full driving licence and access to a car (preferred but not essential).
