Staff Type:

Nursing /Midwife

Reporting To:

Nurse/Midwife Manager

Duties:
  1. To maintain the core ethos of the clinic throughout all interactions with patients and staff.
  2. Provide the highest standard of care to patients attending the clinic.
  3. Operate and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  4. Communicate effectively and securely with patients and staff members in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
Education, Training & Competence:
  1. Maintain and develop professional expertise and knowledge by actively engaging in CPD.
  2. All staff must have proficient and practicable IT skills including Microsoft Word and Outlook, and experience with patient management software in order to function fully within the client's network of clinics and adhere to SOPs.
  3. Ensure that your personal Staff Training Logbook is maintained and up-to-date.
  4. Manage and play a key role in the training, education, and support of others within your team.
  5. All Staff are expected to comply with any legislative requirements current or future; in addition to the EU Tissue & Cells Directive, SI 158 (2006) and SI 598 (2007). Full training provided if required.
  6. Be responsible for maintaining full registration with the NMBI and notify management immediately of any changes in relation to this.
Daily Duties:Clinical:
  1. Ultrasound scanning to include: Assessment, follicle tracking, cycle monitoring, and fetal heart scans.
  2. Phlebotomy & Cannulation.
  3. Administering injections.
  4. Nurse Consultations patient education.
  5. Working with Gynecologist to devise treatment plans.
  6. Assist at Egg Collections/ Embryo Transfers and other clinical procedures.
  7. Perform IUIs.
  8. Monitor patients in recovery.
  9. Assist in the general day-to-day smooth and effective running of the unit.
Admin & Training:
  1. Treatment Cycle coordination.
  2. Egg Donation Coordination.
  3. Documenting all appropriate correspondence on patient management software and in chart where required as per SOPs.
  4. Prescription Preparation.
  5. Creating & updating therapy plans.
  6. Liaising with third party clinics as part of Satellite Service provision.
  7. Liaising with pharmacies.
  8. Obstetric referrals.
  9. Training and support of junior staff as per agreed training programmes and in conjunction with the management.
Academic/ Professional Qualifications and/or Relevant Experience:
  1. Qualified General Nurse or Qualified Registered Midwife.
  2. Current NMBI Registration.
  3. Fertility and early pregnancy scanning experience desirable.
Our ideal candidate:
  1. Must have extremely strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
  2. Should be highly organized and have good attention to detail.
  3. Must be able to work under pressure and as part of a busy team.
Working Hours:

37.5 Hour working week inclusive of breaks, 8 Hour shift with core operating hours between 7am-6pm, occasional weekends/public holidays required.
