DevOps Engineer (Migration) – Remote from Ireland

About the Role

Our client is involved in Financial Services and requires an Azure or GCP DevOps engineer to execute various architectural plans as they migrate from on-premises to various cloud providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work within existing architectures to execute migration plans from on-premises architecture to Azure and GCP, collaborating with internal architects and external service providers.
  • Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience (Terraform/Ansible and related tools) to map scripting to landing zones, test, and ultimately go live, as well as work with Rackspace Hosting.
  • Bring EKS/GKS Kubernetes Services expertise to current processes and improve subsequent product migrations over the coming two years.
  • Have a deep understanding of DevOps Deployment Pipelines, CI/CD.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of post-graduate commercial experience.
  • Certifications in Azure (e.g., Solutions Architect) and/or GCP Cloud are ideal.
  • PCI DSS Payment Processing experience is a definite advantage.
  • Proven track record in working on on-premises to cloud migrations.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Azure, GCP, Landing Zones, Rackspace, CI/CD, and Automation.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken.
