Flexsource NI is currently recruiting for an Events Officer on a temporary full-time basis, covering the Newry area, with a starting salary of £16.83 per hour.

Responsibilities:

1. Undertake the development, organisation and promotion of the Programme of Tourism Events and Festivals across the district.
2. Provide assistance to the Events Supervisor in the implementation and administration of the events programme including grant/sponsorship applications and grant claims.
3. Undertake a range of administrative duties relating to the implementation of the events programme and tourism events development strategies and plans, as required.
4. Assist in the procurement of relevant services/suppliers/contractors. Ensure that invoices, quotations and other relevant documentation are collated, purchase orders raised and documentation retained in accordance with Council procedures or funding requirements.
5. Track and monitor event expenditure against event plans and budget, providing regular updates to the events supervisor on budget spend and variances.

Requirements:

1. 4 GCSE’s to include English and Maths.
2. 2 years of experience in coordinating, implementing and delivering a programme of tourism events.
3. Full driving licence and access to transport.
4. Ability to work outside of normal office hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
