Our client, a leading Multinational Semiconductor Telecom Company, requires a Software Verification Systems Team Lead for a role based in Cork City, Ireland.

As this is a Team Lead position, the individual must be onsite 4 days per week; there are no exceptions to this requirement.

Role:

You will join the machine learning verification team, a fast-paced group working on cutting-edge software to enable the future of AI on DSPs. The lead will be responsible for ensuring that the software sent to customers works out of the box for any model. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in verification of complex systems and will use that background to create new standards for testing machine learning software.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive quality in a highly complex system by implementing new processes and aligning requirements across multiple organizations.
  • Develop new tools to create efficient testing processes.
  • Grow the team to 5-10 engineers to accomplish these goals.

Requirements:

  • Lead a team of 5-10 engineers to develop a verification process for complex machine learning optimization software.
  • Define acceptance criteria, performance metrics, and test accuracy.
  • Work closely with the development team to clarify requirements, provide feedback on code quality, drive documentation improvements, and ensure timely defect identification and resolution.
  • Drive the team to meet the highest code and product quality standards.
  • Guide the team to understand and meet customer requirements.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a relevant discipline; a master's degree is preferable.
  • 10+ years of practical experience in software engineering.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.
  • Experience with compilers or software optimized for specific hardware.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with distributed systems and batch compute.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Skills:

  • Python software development of automation infrastructure.
  • Server sysadmin experience in support of local teams.
  • Proven experience as an ML Ops/DevOps Engineer or similar role.
  • Experience with industry-standard CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub CI).
  • Proficient in Python programming and automated testing.
  • Sysadmin experience within a device farm setting (physical device management).
  • Advanced skills in Linux system administration, Docker, Git, Jenkins, NFS.
  • Experience with SQL and data visualization tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a cross-functional team spanning several time zones.
