Responsibilities:
  • Prepare month-end management accounts accurately and timely, focusing on inventory and sales reporting.
  • Manage the Standard Costing system and refine standard labor times & costs.
  • Understand and report on key drivers of sales, gross profit, and cost performance, ensuring meaningful insights.
  • Analyze overhead expenditure monthly, comparing against budget and forecast.
  • Assist in drafting the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Commercial teams to develop improvements reducing exposure to excess and obsolete inventory.
Qualifications

To excel in this position, you should be a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA) with management accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing. You should have proven expertise in managing product costing systems and possess in-depth knowledge of manufacturing variances and inventory management. Experience in ERP implementation and continuous improvement/Lean methodologies is also desired.
