About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining our cutting-edge software solutions. You will be working on our newly released product, which is gaining strong interest from clients. This exciting opportunity allows you to contribute to a high-impact project, influencing its development and ensuring it continues to meet and exceed customer expectations.

What you’ll do

  1. Design and build reliable distributed systems that handle high volumes of data with low latency.
  2. Work with a cross functional team of Data Scientists, Backend & Frontend Engineers, Product Managers, and Product Designers.
  3. Maintain and support business-critical systems.
  4. Ship code to production using CI/CD.
  5. Tackle the challenges that come with processing highly sensitive data.
  6. Build software with security in mind.
  7. Make your mark on ambitious projects.

What you’ll bring

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
  2. 4+ years of industry experience with a proven track record of collaborating with others on designing, developing, testing, and shipping solutions to large scale technical problems.
  3. Strong experience in Spring Boot, Java or Groovy.
  4. Experience developing multi-tenant applications with strong focus on security.
  5. Passion for being responsible for your work from the beginning to the end of a project’s life cycle.
  6. Excellent software engineering knowledge and ability to provide technical mentorship and direction to others.
  7. Data-oriented mindset: you want your work to be measured and impactful.
  8. Experience in leading cross-team engineering efforts.

Nice to have:

  1. Knowledge of Docker or Kubernetes.
  2. Experience with AWS especially Cloud Formation, S3, SQS, EKS, DynamoDB.
  3. Strong communication and organizational skills.

Technical Stack:

  1. Java, Groovy.
  2. Spring Boot, Grails, React.
  3. MySQL, DynamoDB, Postgres.
  4. AWS.

Our interview process generally takes place remotely via teams and typically involves the following:

  1. A 45-minute call where we’ll ask you about your current and previous roles and explore some technical questions with you.
  2. An assignment following the first stage interview which we expect to take no longer than 2 hours of your time.
  3. A final-round interview to discuss the assignment and follow up questions.
  4. We may follow up with a final stage interview, to discuss any feedback before making a final decision.
