Description of Job Duties and Responsibilities (Training will be provided where required):
- Lead and/or collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure expedited closure of complex product and process quality issues from initiation to closure.
- Support evaluation of non-conforming material and disposition of the material.
- Interpret SEM/TEM images and EDX data to solve electrical and defect problems.
- Train and mentor other Quality or Process Engineers on core tools e.g., SPC Tools, FMEA, MSA.
- Perform audits of key suppliers if required.
- Actively participate in audits from customers and certification authorities; review customer specific requirements and respond to part specific information as required by the customers.
- Work with Product Quality Team to analyze customer returns and support continuous improvement activities.
- Work with counterparts in sister fabs to share results, best practices and provide comparable data.
- Collaborate with Product, Process, Design, Failure Analysis and Reliability engineering organizations to drive quality.
- Improvements & implementation of Quality Management System (QMS).
- Facilitate the use of structured problem-solving tools in root cause investigation and corrective action identification.
Key skills required for this position are:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Engineering Degree in Process/Microelectronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- High level technical knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes including CMOS and Bipolar device technologies.
- Understanding of requirements of Quality Management System (QMS) in manufacturing environment and understanding of risk management using FMEA and Control Plan tools.
- Knowledge of problem-solving tools like 8D, DMAIC, 5-why, Fishbone analysis, etc.
- Quality certifications like ASQ Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, CQE, etc. will be preferred.
- Familiarity with industry quality standards like IATF16949/ISO9001.
- Strong attention to detail and root-cause analysis that will help support our organization's zero-defect initiative.
- Must be able to work in a Clean Room environment as required.
- Great collaborator that leads through influence.
- Excellent project planning, scheduling, documentation, training, coordinating and communication skills.
