Description of Job Duties and Responsibilities (Training will be provided where required):

  • Lead and/or collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure expedited closure of complex product and process quality issues from initiation to closure.
  • Support evaluation of non-conforming material and disposition of the material.
  • Interpret SEM/TEM images and EDX data to solve electrical and defect problems.
  • Train and mentor other Quality or Process Engineers on core tools e.g., SPC Tools, FMEA, MSA.
  • Perform audits of key suppliers if required.
  • Actively participate in audits from customers and certification authorities; review customer specific requirements and respond to part specific information as required by the customers.
  • Work with Product Quality Team to analyze customer returns and support continuous improvement activities.
  • Work with counterparts in sister fabs to share results, best practices and provide comparable data.
  • Collaborate with Product, Process, Design, Failure Analysis and Reliability engineering organizations to drive quality.
  • Improvements & implementation of Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Facilitate the use of structured problem-solving tools in root cause investigation and corrective action identification.

Key skills required for this position are:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Engineering Degree in Process/Microelectronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • High level technical knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes including CMOS and Bipolar device technologies.
  • Understanding of requirements of Quality Management System (QMS) in manufacturing environment and understanding of risk management using FMEA and Control Plan tools.
  • Knowledge of problem-solving tools like 8D, DMAIC, 5-why, Fishbone analysis, etc.
  • Quality certifications like ASQ Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, CQE, etc. will be preferred.
  • Familiarity with industry quality standards like IATF16949/ISO9001.
  • Strong attention to detail and root-cause analysis that will help support our organization's zero-defect initiative.
  • Must be able to work in a Clean Room environment as required.
  • Great collaborator that leads through influence.
  • Excellent project planning, scheduling, documentation, training, coordinating and communication skills.
