They are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team and play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving their advanced manufacturing operations.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment, driving preventative maintenance initiatives, and troubleshooting complex systems. This role requires a dynamic professional with a strong mechanical and electrical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including grinding, brazing, and auxiliary machines.
  2. Troubleshoot control systems, robotic applications, vision systems, and electrical circuits.
  3. Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and implement cost-effective solutions.
  4. Lead weekly planned maintenance activities to ensure optimal machine performance.
  5. Rebuild and upgrade machinery, focusing on reducing wear and downtime.
  6. Develop and implement PM schedules and step-by-step training documentation.
  7. Support new product introductions and assist with equipment installations.
  8. Conduct machine risk assessments and prioritize updates or repairs accordingly.
  9. Monitor spare parts inventory and ensure timely availability for rebuilds.
  10. Work with external contractors to coordinate and oversee sub-contracted maintenance tasks.

Requirements:

  1. FAS time-served mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
  2. Proven experience in mechanical and electrical fault-finding.
  3. 3-5 years in a high-tech manufacturing or automated environment.
  4. Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on root cause identification.
  5. Ability to balance mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic competencies.
  6. Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools.
  8. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  9. Knowledge of machine/process improvements and an innovative mindset.
  10. Experience working with external contractors and managing facilities-related maintenance tasks.
