As an Area Sales Manager, you will not only be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential customers, but also for leading and motivating a team of experienced professional drivers who deliver our products and services in your assigned territory.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential customers
- Promoting and selling our products and services in your assigned territory
- Achieving and exceeding sales targets and KPIs
- Providing excellent after-sales service and support
- Identifying new business opportunities and generating leads
- Negotiating contracts and closing deals
- Reporting on sales activities and market trends
- Working closely with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction to include our Lubricants & Fuel card Divisions.
- Leading and motivating a team of drivers to support the sales strategy of being number one in our territories for customer service
- Growing our sales through acquiring new customers and retaining existing ones
- Reviewing Aged Debts reports with Credit Control Manager.
- Maintaining Group credit policies in the business.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the oil distribution industry or a related field
- A proven track record of achieving sales results and meeting customer expectations
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a sales team effectively.
- A full driving license and willingness to travel within your territory
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- A self-motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic attitude
- A strong team player with a customer-focused approach
