Morgan McKinley is working closely with an established client, a Cork based Multinational, who are looking for a Head of Global Indirect Tax to join their organisation.

Head of Global Indirect Tax - Cork

Our client, a fast paced and growing organisation, is looking for an experienced tax professional to lead the Global Indirect Tax function and sit within their Centre of Excellence based in Cork.

As Head of Global Indirect Tax, you will lead the overall function including the regional Indirect Tax teams and global projects team. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance, driving strategy, and business partnering with key stakeholders across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the Global Indirect Tax function & take ownership of all global indirect tax deliverables.
  2. Develop and drive the future strategy and direction for Indirect Tax in conjunction with Corporate and Regional Leadership.
  3. Identify and implement appropriate tools globally for Compliance, Automation, and Reporting.
  4. Support leadership in indirect tax budgets and cost allocations globally.
  5. Work with Regional Controllers to ensure all Month End and Quarter End Close activities are completed accurately.
  6. Prepare the Indirect Tax Function to support changes in the Organisation structure or changes in Supply Chain, Plant Operations, Logistics, or Transfer Pricing.
  7. Identify and manage the impact of new Indirect Taxes.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  1. Have an ACCA/ACA/CIMA and CTA qualification with at least 10 years post-qualified experience.
  2. Be a proven leader with at least 5 years experience in a senior leadership role.
  3. Experience managing, mentoring, and empowering a team of professionals.
  4. Strong experience working across interdependent teams within a global organisation.
  5. Have excellent presentation skills and be a strong communicator who can speak to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
