Chief Operating Officer (COO) / Co-Founder – EV Charging Startup

Location: Hybrid (Preference for candidates based in the UK, Ireland, or Channel Islands)

Experience: 5+ years in EV charging software/hardware industry

Equity-Based Role: This is not your typical job post—we're looking for a co-founder with skin in the game.

About GoPlugable

GoPlugable is building the largest shared EV charging network in the UK and Ireland, enabling homes and businesses to unlock value from their EV chargers. We are at the forefront of community-driven, slow-charging infrastructure, complementing the push for rapid chargers.

Our MVP is live, we've secured early B2B customers, and we're growing our host network. Now, we're looking for a driven and strategic leader to scale the business alongside the founding team.

The Role

As COO & Co-Founder, you will work closely with the existing founders to drive GoPlugable's growth, sales, and operations. You should be comfortable leading B2B sales, partnerships, and operations, while also rolling up your sleeves when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Partnerships: Own and execute our B2B sales strategy, hitting key targets.
  • EV Industry Expertise: Leverage experience in EV charging software/hardware to position GoPlugable as a leader.
  • Operations & Growth: Optimize processes as we scale across the UK & Ireland.
  • Strategy & Fundraising: Work with the team to shape our growth roadmap & investor strategy.
  • Team Leadership: Help build and manage a high-performing team.

Who We're Looking For

  • 5+ years experience in the EV charging industry (software or hardware).
  • A proven sales leader with experience hitting and exceeding targets.
  • Hands-on operator & builder—not afraid to get involved in all aspects of the business.
  • A visionary who sees the potential of EV charging as a scalable network.
  • Someone who thrives in startups, uncertainty, and fast-moving environments.
  • Co-founder mindset—this isn't a traditional job; it's an opportunity to own and build something big.
