The Opportunity

We are recruiting a number of Allianz Apprentices to join our business in 2025 and to commence the Insurance Institute of Ireland / Atlantic Technological University Sligo Apprenticeship programme. You will become an integral part of the team, while also undertaking the relevant insurance exams (APA and CIP) and a Level 8 degree in Business Studies through ATU Sligo. Post an initial training period, you will be part of a team that recognises the strength of collaboration and prides itself on high performance while working in a flexible hybrid working model.

Role Responsibilities

In line with the Apprenticeship guidelines, Apprentices may be assigned to various departments throughout the business: Allianz Direct (Customer Service and Sales), Claims or Underwriting.

Responsibilities will vary dependent on the business area assigned, but may include the following:

· Quote, convert, renew and maintain general insurance policies for new and existing customer

· Process Claims, ensuring information is logged accurately and in full

· Service our customers via inbound and outbound telephone calls, emails and general administration

· Consistently demonstrate our high customer service standards by ensuring a high level of customer engagement and meeting and exceeding customer expectations whilst acting with integrity

· Proactively anticipate customer issues and taking appropriate action

· Continually improve quality and efficiency within the team

· Adhere to company quality and underwriting standards

· Comply with the Financial Regulator's Minimum Competency Code, Consumer Protection Code and any other relevant regulations

· Participate in the achievement of individual and departmental targets and objectives

· Engaging fully in Inclusive Leadership sessions with your manager, having a proactive approach to learning and development

The Apprenticeship programme is a work-based learning programme and requires timely submission of on the job assessments, attendance at and successful attainment of ATU Sligo and CIP exams as part of the programme.

Key Requirements / Skills & Experience

· To be considered for the Allianz Apprenticeship, applicants must meet the minimum entry requirements as set out by the III/ATU Sligo, and will demonstrate the Allianz People Attributes at interview. (Customer & Market Excellence, Entrepreneurship, Collaborative Leadership, Trust)
