Occupli Recruitment are working with our client, a leading provider of recycling and resource recovery solutions, employing over 1600 people at locations across the United Kingdom and Ireland.
We have an exciting contract position for a Health & Safety Officer. (Immedidate Start) County Offaly
Based in the Health & Safety officer's primary role is to assist in the development of HSEQ standards, driving compliance and delivering performance. You will support teams onsite, in the field and on a multi-site level.
Key responsibilities include:
- HSEQ standards and compliance.
- Develop and implement strategies and consistently deliver HSEQ targets.
- ISO HSEQ and energy management systems and all associated documentation.
- Risk identification, assessment, communication, and control.
- RAMs, SOPs and training materials, writing up RAMs/SOPs as required
- Support and maintain HSEQ software applications.
- Preventative maintenance, statutory inspection and asset management systems.
- Walkthroughs, inspections, internal and external audits, coaching, and closing non-compliances.
- Liaise with stakeholders, external auditors, subcontractors, clients and the regulatory authorities.
- Work within cross-functional teams delivering collective and shared objectives.
- Work with Operations coaching and developing personnel, champions and EHSQ competency.
- Maintain incident containment principles, incident investigation, cause analysis, return to work.
- Develop and maintain visual management systems, maintain KPI and trend data, generating reports as necessary.
- Other H&S tasks as they arise
- Client facing role.
Requirements- This role will suit an HSEQ professional with 3 - 6 years' experience.
- Third level qualification in environmental health & safety, engineering, or related discipline
- Energetic, progressive, can-do attitude, collaborative, and will involve others to gain input and buy-in
- Attention to detail, checks own work to ensure accuracy and completeness
