JOB SPECIFICATION
Our client seeks a Financial Investigator with financial investigation or audit experience to join its regulatory oversight team and will hold an open competition to fill this position. The post is based in their offices in Dublin 2. Our client operates a Blended Working Policy where staff may work up to 60% of their hours remotely.
Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Oversight & Communication, as Financial Investigator, you will specifically be responsible for leading reviews into financial or governance issues identified through our clients regulatory processes, conduct statutory investigations and develop the dynamic risk profiling framework of AHBs. This role will require significant engagement with internal teams, AHBs and external stakeholders and may also involve the management of a small team of regulatory staff.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead reviews into financial or governance issues reported or identified through our clients Notifiable Events, Concerns and Annual Monitoring programmes.
- Conduct statutory investigations.
- Conduct analysis of the financial structures, funding streams, and risk exposures of AHBs.
- Creation of scenario planning and stress testing into financial models to evaluate the resilience of AHBs under varying economic conditions.
- Develop the dynamic risk profiling framework for AHBs to identify vulnerabilities particularly related to financial performance and determine risk scoring.
- Use data analytics tools to identify trends, anomalies and emerging risks within the sector.
- Collaboration with internal teams to share information on AHBs, identify risks and develop appropriate outcomes.
- Provide expert advice to senior management on financial risks, potential enforcement actions and strategies for risk mitigation.
- Work with other regulatory bodies, government agencies and law enforcement to share information and co-ordinate investigations where necessary.
- Assist AHBs in strengthening their financial governance to reduce future risks.
- Any other duties as directed from time to time.
- Minimum of 5 years experience working in at least one of the following areas: regulation, governance, audit, inspection, finance, investigation, enforcement, or compliance.
