Our client, a leader in the Pharma sector, has an urgent requirement for an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join their team. Super opportunity for the right candidate

Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the preparation of the quarterly and annual US (federal & state) and international tax provisions ensuring accurate and timely tax accounting disclosures, including working with external auditors to assist with their audit of the tax provision.
  2. Assist with both U.S. and international tax matters including preparation of tax technical memorandums and supporting calculations on specific topics for example, valuation allowances, Pillar Two, thin capitalisation, FATCA and permanent reinvestment assertion.
  3. Research tax issues and ensure company compliance with all relevant income tax laws. Follow new and developing tax legislative and technical tax issues. Prepare tax analyses and provide assistance with other special projects as needed.
  4. Assist in the preparation and review of international, federal and state income tax filings with external advisors.
  5. Support in M&A activity projects at various stages of the transaction(s), ensuring compliance with certain positions taken.
  6. Assist with the implementation of software programs to automate the tax function.
  7. Prepare global transfer pricing documentation, including collaborating with internal and external advisors to prepare the annual transfer pricing reports and memos.
  8. Responsible for intercompany financing transactions, including identification of financing requirements within the group, completion of debt level sustainability analysis, arm's length pricing of transactions and preparation of intercompany loan agreements.
  9. Manage all tax matters relating to special purpose companies.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  1. Qualified accountant (Chartered Accountant or equivalent)
  2. Chartered Tax Advisor
  3. Minimum of 3 years PQE in a large corporate tax environment, which may be in industry (biotech/pharma industry a distinct advantage), Big 4, or similar.
  4. Well organized with excellent attention to detail
  5. Strong analytical skills and ability to research complex issues
  6. Self-motivated – able to work both individually and as a member of a team
  7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with all levels of the business
  8. Ability to build effective working relationships with all levels of the business
  9. Ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines, including flexibility of schedule as projects dictate
  10. Works with integrity and can be trusted to work on projects of a confidential nature
  11. Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
