Fitness Instructor & Leisure Club Supervisor - Club Vitae @ Calyton Hotel Sligo

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fitness Instructor & Leisure Club Supervisor in the Club Vitae @ Calyton Hotel Sligo.

Club Vitae Health and Fitness Club is a leading fitness and swimming facility. Club Vitae Sligo entails the gym with Precor equipment and a range of challenging and enjoyable fitness classes. Additionally, the Sligo leisure centre features a 20-metre swimming pool, sauna, and a steam room as well as our home of wellness, the Essence Spa.

Objective of the Role

Reporting to the Leisure Centre Manager, the LC Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the member and guest experiences of our fitness and leisure offering and reporting back to the LC manager.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Conduct fitness assessments and develop training programmes for members and guests.
  2. Teach classes.
  3. Sell/Upsell membership to Club Vitae.
  4. Ensure that the Health and Safety Policy and Procedures are implemented and monitored, particularly concerning cleanliness and hygiene.
  5. Provide help and guidance to members and guests.
  6. Take responsibility for the LC while the LC Manager is not on duty.
  7. Maintain and update equipment, products, services, and standards as required.
  8. Be a role model of impeccable customer service & professionalism at all times.
  9. Manage Club Vitae software and client info database for upkeep.
  10. Address guest/member queries in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  11. Help implement and maintain the highest standard operating procedures for all service areas.
  12. Ensure an organised order of work is in place in all areas.
  13. Drive sales and role model exemplary customer service at all times.

Requirements:

  1. NCEF qualification or the equivalent is essential.
  2. Pool/lifeguard certification and First Aid are also essential.
  3. Good communication skills and fluency in English.
  4. Friendly and outgoing personality.
  5. Ability to work as part of a team and a desire to progress in your career.
  6. Les Mills qualifications would be an advantage.
  7. Swim teacher qualification would be an advantage.
  8. Pool Plant qualification would be an advantage.
